FILMGRO Driving Academy
The SA FILM Academy manages the free FILMGRO DRIVING ACADEMY.
One of the biggest impediments to employment & career advancement in the film and television industries, especially for people from historically disadvantaged communities, is lacking a driver’s licence – or access to the finances and professional, accredited resources – in order to obtain one.
Our aim quite simply, is to drive growth & development. At Atlantic Film Studios, in the heartland of film & television studio production – FILMGRO, the SA FILM Academy, Homebrew Films, Gambit Films, Atlantic Film Studios & Suidooster have launched the free FILMGRO DRIVING ACADEMY – to address this significant challenge actively and thereby to help transform a significant obstacle into an awesome opportunity, actively driving growth, skills development, employment and career advancement, transformation & diversity in the industry.
Our aim is for graduates entering the film and television industry to have a free and equal opportunity to obtain accredited training & a driving licence, as a key requirement entering the industry.
