About the Academy of Creative Excellence (ACE)
The Academy of Creative Excellence (ACE) is a dynamic, skills development initiative of the SA FILM Academy (www.safilmacademy.org ). Launched on the Ridley Scott, Raised By Wolves 2 (RBW 2) production, in partnership with Scott Free, Film Afrika Entertainment and HBO – ACE holistically assists in the growth and development of emerging film-makers or `filmpreneurs’ in their own right, affording them the opportunity to `shadow’ global film industry icons on a major international production, while simultaneously coaching and mentoring them as they develop and create their own content.
Carefully selected candidates are placed on the production to assist and shadow key personnel.
ACE focuses specifically on assisting advanced SAFA alumni/ae and other eligible candidates – approaching emerging management and HoD status – to advance to emerging management, Heads of Departments and independent suppliers, producers and directors.
